When fable 3 was in development I remember the last fable 2 dlc being about showing a glimpse of what that was going to be about, needless to say I was hype, I followed news on it every day, the lionhead forum was my home, and I stayed and watched closely for any developments, this was just after a big move so the desire for a amazing game was high.

The one that’s easiest to explain is fable 3, back in 2008 i found the fable series through fable 2, I adored that game flaws and all, it was one of the biggest reasons that I got into backstories for characters, with the only other fantasy RPG games i’d played at that point being Oblivion and RuneScape if you count that.

I have two examples that come to mind, both for different reasons, one that didn’t live up to what was being sold through development, the other just wasn’t what I’d hoped for, I’ll just go over the big one and spare you both. I’m sure these topics have come up a lot so apologies in advance, figured I would ask since we often hype ourselves up sometimes to unrealistic expectations with games and for me personally I can’t really appreciate anything short of playing a game now, announcements giving me a short burst of hype before I distance myself until release, I’ve been burnt too many times.
